Botox is used to eliminate unsightly wrinkles and prevent the formation of future wrinkles. Read our Botox FAQ's to learn how Botox may be right for you..
What is Botox?
BOTOX® Cosmetic is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to temporarily improve the look of both moderate to severe crow’s feet lines and frown lines between the eyebrows in adults. We can also use it to reduce the appearance of gummy smiles and fine under eye creases.
How does it work?
We use several very small injections to distribute the Botox medication into the body of your facial muscles. In 3-7 days the medication takes hold in the muscle and the visible results are seen. By relaxing the muscles, we smooth the skin and eliminate wrinkles.
How long does a Botox procedure take?
Most clients can spend thirty minutes with us for botox injections. This includes a pre-consultation, face marking (temporary), and injecting.
Can I return to work after receiving a Botox treatment?
Absolutely! While we will clean your face at the injection sites, potentially removing makeup, there are no outward signs of treatment upon completion of your appointment. We recommend you remain upright for 4 hours and refrain from strenuous exercise for 24 hours to keep the Botox in the right place but you can certainly return to work at your leisure.
How is Botox sold? How much will I need?
We sell our Botox by the unit ($13/unit). Every face is different and every person's individual goals are different. That said-most people use 20-40 units of Botox per appointment.
At what age should I start using Botox?
Any age over 18 is appropriate for botox. But usually we start injecting Botox for both men and women at age 25-30. Clients as old as 60-65 also love the benefits of Botox.
